An important factor to remember when doing these exercises is that you must try doing them all without any breaks between your different sets and you should also not have any resting time. Doing your exercises in this manner will hike your metabolism and it will ensure maximum muscle expansion, you should feel your muscles burning when you are done. Try doing muscle training at-least twice a week and alternate it with doing some kind of cardio exercise like running or swimming twice a week.

This is how your weekly work-out set up should look like.

Mondays and Thursdays you do strength training, on Tuesdays and Fridays you do cardio and on Wednesdays you have a break.

Another thing you could do to get rid of cellulite is by making sure that your body stays hydrated. Make sure that you are drinking as much water as possible. Try drinking at-least 10 glasses of water a day even during days when you are not exercising. Whenever you drink lots of water your body will naturally release any unwanted toxins and fluids that are in the body. Make an effort to stay away from soft-drinks and coffee.

Weight Loss Motivation Tips

OK. I got to the point of mentally being conscious about eating healthier and losing weight. But, what could I realistically use on a daily basis to stay on track?

If there is one thing I have learned in 56 years on this planet, it's that most people will only make a change in their habits when the pain of making that change is less than the burden of continuing the habit and what it produces. However, everyone has a different pain threshold and tricks to either ignore or justify the pain, at least to a point. If the habit is a bad one, it means you check out early if you don't make some changes. Personally, I kinda like it here. So, I thought I might try to hang around for awhile.

First, get yourself some good scales and stand on them every morning. After a week or so of being good, you will see lower numbers and that is motivation in itself. Next, go to the mall or any big box retailer and just look around. Notice how many people are overweight. Then notice how many are riding around on handicapped scooters just because they are too big to walk! That's what motivated me. Mercy! It's a cryin' shame. I realize there are exceptions, but not that many! Next, lower your threshold of what your willing to put with about yourself. Even if your spouse or whoever thinks your fine, but you know your not, then make yourself uncomfortable and decide to make the necessary changes now. Look at where you want to be in six months and vow to be there.

If you are getting a good 30 minutes or more of fairly intense exercise, 4 or more days a week, you will start to feel like a champion. This is key! I can firmly attest to the fact that after just three weeks of combining weights and aerobics I gained not only momentum in weight loss, but I felt so much better. And the better I felt, the more I wanted to feel that way. It doesn't take long to figure out, even for me, that the changes I had made were the reasons I felt so much better and had so much more energy. I promise. Just make it through that first 3 to 4 weeks and you will notice such a difference, you will be able to look that fried chicken straight in the crust and just smile and walk away.

I have always felt that motivation truly comes from within based mostly on external factors. For me, tips for weight loss motivation came from a combination of getting older and seeing the future, combined with seeing the truly handicapped not able to use a scooter because they were all taken by fat people. 7 Tips to Avoid Weight Gain and the Dreaded 'Holiday Bulge'

Christmas is a time for joy, giving and receiving and along with that it's also a time of over indulgence. What with all the Christmas parties, nights out, 12 pubs shenanigans combined with the never ending nibbling on sweets, treats and all things sugary (I particularly like Ferero Roche myself) - an extra few pounds of 'holiday weight' is inevitable right?

The thing is, if you follow that train of thought you're setting yourself up for failure before Santa even thinks about stopping over with the unwanted present that nearly everyone gets - weight gain. To help you battle the bulge over this holiday season I've put together 7 tips that'll help you stay nice and lean through the holidays and who knows you might even come out the other side of Christmas looking and feeling better than ever.

1. Hydrate first thing in the morning.

We are generally dehydrated when we wake up and we often confuse this with hunger. First thing you should do when you wake up in the morning is drink a large glass of water as well as a cup of hot water and lemon. Don't forget to brush your teeth and look pretty too.

2. Don't go anywhere hungry.

If you're going to a dinner party or get together - fill up on a healthy nutritious fibre rich meal beforehand. You'll be less likely to indulge if you're already full - sounds simple, it works.

3. Stay active.

Make sure to stay active over the Christmas and New Years season. The excuse that the gym or health club is closed is non starter, you can easily workout at home with minimal or no equipment. You can even get outdoors and participate in many of the festive charity walks or runs. There really is no excuse.

4. Split deserts with someone.

We all like our indulgences and trust me I'm no different. If you're at a Christmas party or get together and really want some desert, have some and split it with someone else. This way you get to satisfy your craving while halving the calorie count. Better still bring along your own desert.

5. Avoid watching TV and eating.

This may be the biggest one. Habitually we all associate eating with watching TV and vice versa. Make it a rule that all meals must be eaten together at the table and not while watching the 'Only Fools and Horses' Christmas special.

6. Stick to the 80/20 rule.

If you eat super clean 80% of the time there is absolutely no reason why you cannot enjoy your favourite foods the other 20% of the time. A little bit of planning goes a long way. Would you rather get fat over Christmas or do a small bit of planning and still be able to enjoy whatever you want?

7. Make the decision.

A lot of what we do is decided well before we ever do it. This Christmas, instead of settling that weight gain is a foregone conclusion - make a conscious decision to come out the other side of the holiday season looking and feeling better. Make a promise to yourself and stick to it, then reward yourself when you succeed with some new clothes in the January Sales.

I love Christmas and I'm especially excited about this one, you just can't beat turkey, ham and all the trimmings. My Christmas feasts are going to be guilt free this year, yours can be too.
