Tips For Losing Your Weight Successfully

Losing weight is a very tricky job. There are many people who are not really happy with their current figure, but most of them are not even sure where to start from so they usually think to stay with their current weight. We watch famous models and actors on TV and wonder if we could ever become that slim and thin. But being that slim might not always be healthy for you. You can never be sure about a diet that worked out great for someone you personally know, would work wonders on your body too. There is no magical pill or diet that would make you look slimmer like someone else. Besides, you have no clue what they must have faced while following that diet unless of course you ask them.

Being healthy is about having a weight that suits you and is right for your body. The best way for finding out if your body weight is healthy or not is to consult a dietitian. A dietitian can compare you set more realistic goals. If you feel that you should lose some weight, then you can try a few simple things. Always keep in mind that your body is not a machine. Your body works and functions on a certain amount of food until you decide to lose weight. So there is no rush to cut down your diet all of a sudden. Try to increase the overall amount of physical activity that you do. Different kinds of sports, aerobics classes, walking, running, cycling and swimming will improve your level of fitness.

Weight management is all about patience and long-term success. Individuals who lose their weight very quickly by extreme exercises or crash diets usually gain all the weight back as they have not changed their eating habits permanently. Remember, your body likes slow and steady changes in the terms of exercise and food. You would get surprised to learn about the calories that the sodas and soft drinks have. Cutting down on the can of one soda or a soft drink can actually save 150 calories each day. It would be great to increase your activity around the house. You have no idea how each and every movement that your body makes helps you in burning calories. You burn calories while dusting, brushing and cleaning, washing dishes and even while making love to your partner.

People usually eat when they are bored, stressed out or lonely. Try to pay as much attention as you can while eating and stop whenever you feel that you are full. Many people usually feel that due to their office work and environment, they do not get much time to exercise. This is one answer that you think can save you but honestly you are just fooling yourself. You can get up from your seat for passing that one file to your boss instead of asking someone else to do it for you. Cut down on the additional tea and coffee with too much sugar that you order 3-4 times a day.

Instead of sitting in front of your TV screen during the commercial breaks, get up for some time to walk around and do other work. You can also use the bicycle or a treadmill by putting it where your TV set is. You can then exercise and watch the TV at the same time. This way you would exercise more without thinking about the time duration. Also, never eat in front of your TV. This way the brain gets distracted by the TV entertainment and you continue to eat unless the show comes to an end.

Always remember that losing weight is not a miracle that can change your life. But yes, it would certainly make you feel better from inside and moreover it is just healthy. Make small changes in your diet everyday and feel the difference. There is no tomorrow when it comes to cut down your diet.

Weight Loss Doesn't Have to Be Tough

ByLinda V Doyle

Weight loss is a goal for many people, but without the right plan their chances at fat loss become pretty slim (no pun intended!). If you're someone who is interested in losing weight then you've probably heard all about all types of machines and different things you can do. The key phrase is DO. We can read about it and hear what others are doing, but until we get up and DO it, it really does not matter what it is. Combined with a sensible diet and an effective but fun workout plan, you are sure to find the success that you seek and deserve.

There are just a few rules that you have to follow if you want your fat loss efforts to pay off.
Using the following tips and tricks will get you all the glory without the sweat and tears of interval training. Not that there is anything wrong with interval training...truly one of my favorites.

Avoid Fad Diets

Don't try and become a "fish out of water" by succumbing to ridiculous weight loss methods that will never work long term no matter how hard you try. Some tell tale signs that you should turn the other way and run include sayings like "lose ten pounds in just three days!" or "lose all the weight you want while still eating burgers and pizza!". Everyone know that this is not the case and so it's important not to fall to things that just seem too good to be true.

Get Your Greens On

Instead of eliminating the things you love in your diet, consider simply adding a lot more green leafy salads and other vegetables to your meals. This will naturally crowd out many of those late night ice cream sundae endeavors followed by a night cap of microwave buttered popcorn. Plus, you get tons of vitamins and minerals that you aren't getting when your diet is full of nothing but junk food. This will allow you to cut your portion size way back if you fill up on the green.

Get Active Doing Something You Love

The trick here is to make sure that the activities you choose are something you truly love doing and not something that you just feel like you should want to do. If you don't enjoy bike riding or running, then don't do it! Go for a brisk walk after dinner or during your lunch break every day. Play a game of basketball with your kids at the park on the weekend. Step out of your comfort zone and do something that you have never done like Pole dancing. You will surprised at the upper body workout you will get. Instead of sitting there watching television, jump on the treadmill and walk along to your favorite shows.

So in a nutshell, weight loss and fat loss should come about in a variety of ways. It's about adopting a sensible eating plan while avoiding the dogma diets. It's about incorporating more "good for you" foods into your diet. It's about finding something you love to do in order to move your body. Combine these things and you have yourself a successful weight loss plan that will be successful for the rest of your life. It will become that lifestyle change that you have been longing for.

Choosing The Best Weight Loss Surgery for Yourself

ByTocab Jackson

There are several cities with a population of over 3 million people; some have more others have less. When a city has a larger population, it's no surprise that there is a huge diversity in the available weight loss surgeries. It's your job, as a potential weight loss surgery patient to do your research. Whether you are interested in weight loss surgery to improve your looks or to improve your health, there are several cities known for their capable and skilled physicians.

There are three primary weight loss surgeries that you should consider: The lap band, the gastric bypass procedure and the gastric sleeve. The lap band surgery is a reversible procedure, while the gastric bypass and the gastric sleeve are permanent. It is important that you consider the finality of your weight loss surgery, as only one of these three can ever be undone.

The lap band is a bariatric surgery that involves placing a band across the patient's stomach in order to restrict the amount of food a person is able to consume. The band itself is then inflated and deflated depending upon the person's dietary needs. With this surgery, the least amount of weight loss is seen, as well as the least amount of physical changes occur (i.e. smaller changes in blood pressure and much less substantial changes in blood sugar levels). The upside to this surgery is its fully reversible nature. It's important that you choose a surgeon experienced in the lap band. There are several qualified bariatric surgeons in the US.

The gastric bypass is a much more invasive bariatric procedure. It involves a surgeon making an incision (one large or several small ones depending upon the kind of procedure) into the patient's abdomen and re-crafting the stomach into a smaller pouch. This procedure has been shown to drastically reduce the intake of food and the health benefits are numerous. It has been shown to be successful in reversing some chronic diseases like diabetes in some cases. If you are interested in the gastric bypass, research the best city with the best history behind this surgery when considering it.

The final bariatric procedure you should consider is the gastric sleeve. Considered by some to be the most invasive bariatric procedure, the gastric sleeve involved the surgeon removing as much as 85% of the patient's stomach. The goal of the procedure is to create a relatively narrow tube, or sleeve as the procedures name implies, in which the food is stored. Potential for massive weight loss and corrections to long-standing health conditions are huge with this surgery. Choosing to undergo a major medical procedure can be daunting. This is even more apparent when considering undergoing the gastric sleeve. There are a few cities with some of the most talented and capable surgeons, so having your bariatric surgery performed here would offer many benefits.

Choosing the right bariatric surgery for your situation is of the utmost importance. So is choosing the right location. Whether you undergo the lap band, gastric sleeve or gesture bypass, research the hospitals, medical teams and surgeons to make your weight and health goals a reality.

Lose Weight In 2 Weeks By Eating Right

A well-planned diet is a key component to fast weight loss. Remember, a diet doesn't have to feel like punishment! The diet I am going to outline for you is extremely effective and enjoyable. Not only is this the best diet for weight loss, but it is also extremely beneficial for your long-term health. You are getting the best of both worlds! Not only are you losing weight fast, but you are fortifying your body's health over the long run! Read on to learn about the best diet to lose weight in 2 weeks.

Eat Like Your Ancestors...the Paleo diet is designed to mimic what our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate - lean meats, fibrous vegetables, nuts and seeds, and some fruits. Fortunately for us, we don't have to chase down our dinner (although that would be a pretty good workout!). We are mimicking an ancient diet in a modern society. Obviously, we will make additions to the diet that our ancestors didn't have the luxury of enjoying.

Why It Works...the Paleo diet works with your genetics to help you get lean, strong, and energetic. Scientific research indicates that our modern diet is the culprit for the degenerative diseases that plague our society (obesity, heart disease, cancer, depression, and infertility to name a few).

Benefits of the Paleo Lifestyle

Improved energy levelsOptimized healthFast weight lossMore efficient workoutsReduced allergiesBalanced energy levelsClear skinImproved sleepStable blood sugar

Under our normal neuro-regulation of appetite, our body and brain know how much energy we have stored. Unconsciously, we have some sense of how many calories we have and how much fat we have stored, but not all of us were born with great genetics and an appetite that matches our energy expenditure. By choosing our meals in an intelligent fashion, we can improve the neuro-regulation of our appetite! Protein and fat are both very satiating. Although fat contains a lot of calories, in relation to its caloric content, it makes us feel fuller longer. On the contrary, Carbohydrates are much less satiating, and tend to promote hunger! We want enough fat and enough protein so we are not hungry all the time. We should feel a good energy balance and good regulation of appetite between meals. If you want to construct a very satiating meal, you start with good proteins, add some fat, and add some vegetables.

Are all calories created equal? We have all heard the expression calories in/calories out. This age-old adage has been preached for a long time with no compelling evidence. To this day many people still believe that this is the most important aspect of losing weight. The fact is a calorie is NOT a calorie. Are 500 calories from broccoli the same as 500 calories from Twinkies? Of course not. Sugar-latent Twinkies are going to cause a dramatic spike in your blood sugar levels and offer you no nutritional value. Fibrous vegetables will leave you feeling fuller and provide your body with a slew of healthy antioxidants and nutrients that enhance your long-term health and prevent disease. To further understand why all calories are not created equal, we need to investigate each macronutrient group. Most conventional diets have a prescribed percentage of where your calories should come from. This one-size-fits-all approach is terribly ineffective for losing weight. It is impossible to know exactly how many calories you need from each group. Rather than banging your head against the wall trying to determine your calorie needs from protein, carbohydrates, and fats, focus on eating the correct foods from each group that will benefit your weight loss goals.

Protein will always take priority in this diet. Protein is crucial for repairing your muscles and building cells. I recommend a minimum of.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Typically, eating 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight is an ideal range.

Carbs...do you think our hunter/gatherer ancestors ate pizza, whole wheat bread, and pasta? Of course not! And they functioned at a much higher level of fitness than any of us. It is a common misnomer that we need carbohydrates in our diet to provide energy and keep us alive. In reality, we only need enough carbohydrates to provide glucose for the brain and occasional anaerobic exercise. Truthfully, our brain doesn't even need glucose to operate. Ketones from a low-carb diet work extremely well. With weight loss being our goal, we would much rather see our daily energy being fueled by stored fats. Keep your carbohydrate intake under 80 grams per day to maximize fat loss. You will lower your insulin levels and utilize your stored body fat for energy. Only 80 grams of carbs!? What!!?? That sounds like an awfully low amount of carbs to eat each day, but you will have no problem staying below this number if you follow the guidelines of the diet (no grains, sugars, and limited fruit consumption).

Fats are our fuel on this diet. Fats have minimal impact on insulin and promote burning of stored fat for fuel. This is perfect for our weight loss goals! By keeping our protein and carb intake relatively constant, we have free reign to adjust our fat intake for our fitness goals. When you lock down your carb and protein intake, you will be hard pressed to overeat fats and sabotage your weight loss. Your body will become highly efficient at burning stored fat for energy and the pounds will start dropping fast! Paleo Diet Guidelines The Paleo diet can be easily modified to suit your fitness needs. With the goal of fast weight loss in mind, we will structure our meals in this fashion:

Eat 4-8 oz of lean protein (chicken, lean beef, turkey, seafood, or pork loin).Include several servings of vegetables (raw, steamed, or lightly cooked).Add some good fats to the meal (olive oil, avocado, almonds, pecans, or walnuts)Eat this way 3-4 times a day.

This structure looks rather bland, but with the addition of herbs and spices, any meal can be made delicious. Note: Fruit is allowed on the Paleo diet, but our goal is to lose fat fast! If you must include fruit, limit your intake to 1-2 servings per day, and stick to berries. I recommend eliminating fruit for the next 2 weeks to maximize your fat loss. You now know how to eat in order to lose weight in 2 weeks.

Amazing Benefits of Drinking Tea for Weight Loss

Drinking four to eight cups of tea a day can actually help you lose weight. It's a round-a-bout way, to be sure, but a fact, none the less.

Here's the way it works. There are two hormones that effect our weight. They are Leptin and gherlin. Leptin is what gives you a feeling of satisfaction after eating. When you suffer from sleep deprivation, Leptin levels go down. You don't get that satisfied feeling after eating, you're still hungry, so you eat more.

To make matters worse, your gherlin levels rise if you don't get enough sleep, and gherlin effects your appetite. The higher the gherlin level, the hungrier you become. It's a vicious circle, with the end result being weight gain. Drinks high in caffeine can cause sleeplessness and contribute to added pounds on our bodies.

Drinking tea instead of coffee is the answer to avoiding weight gain caused by caffeine. Tea has much less caffeine than coffee. The following chart shows the comparison:

Black Tea - 50% less caffeine than coffee
Oolong Tea - 70% less caffeine than coffee
Green Tea - 80% less caffeine than coffee
White Tea - 90% less caffeine than coffee
Herbal Tea - naturally caffeine free

Many people have experienced the jitters and nervous feeling that can accompany too many cups of coffee. That is because caffeine arouses the nervous system and can increase the heart rate. Tea, however, promotes the burning of calories, but does not effect the heart or nervous system.

Coffee stimulates because of the caffeine. Tea relaxes and lowers stress because of a marvelous ingredient called L-thianine. Leaves from the plant Camellia Sinensis (from which all tea is derived) is the only plant in the world (except for one rare mushroom) that contains this amazing substance.

L-thianine affects the brain waves. It naturally reduces stress, anxiety and tension. The importance of this action is hugely beneficial. Lower levels of stress result in lower levels of cortisol. Cortisol is that hormone that increases appetite and one of the chief causes of belly fat. Drinking tea, with its super ingredient L-thianine lowers stress, which lowers cortisol, thusly decreasing formation of belly fat.

To gain the most benefits from tea drinking, enjoy tea throughout the day. Drink at least four to eight cups of tea a day, switching to caffeine free tea in the evening.

It's easy to make your own decaffeinated tea from regular tea. Place a teabag in your cup add hot water and allow to steep for approximately three minutes. Discard that cup of tea, and make another cup of tea using the same teabag. The caffeine has been removed and discarded in that first steeping. The second steeping results in a caffeine free cup of tea.

For a healthier, thinner you, drink tea. It's an amazing beverage, and does many good things for your body.

The Road Warrior

Getting lean is a process. Unless you are naturally gifted, this will take some commitment on your part. You will have to lift weights to maintain and build new tissue. You will have to develop a solid nutritional plan. Finally, you will have to implement an effective cardiovascular routine. It's time to run, Road Warrior!

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Time to lace up my shoes, hit the road, and run for endless miles..."

Nope.

Here come the intervals!

While long, slow, consistant cardio programs (5k, 10k, Marathons, etc) have their place in the fitness world, they are not the best at producing a lean, muscular physique. It's just not in the science. I'll explain that a little later, but for now, it's time to learn some Anatomy & Physiology boys & girls! (just a little bit)

To understand the importance of interval training or HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) as most people like to call it, you need to know the basics of how your body operates.

Your body runs on three basic cardio engines:

1. Creatine-Phosophate Engine

The Creatine-Phosophate Engine is responsible for providing the body with a maximal energy supply through the first 8 - 10 seconds of activity. It is your stored energy reserve that allows you to respond to an instantaneous change in your muscular state (I.E. Going from a resting state to a full sprint instantly). Ever start out running at 100% and then suddenly hit "the wall" in which you have to give that extra effort to maintain your speed? That's your body running out of stored creatine phosphate or PCr (Pcr). Once that happens, you move on to engine #2.

2. Anaerobic Glycolysis Engine

This engine system is responsible for producing your energy during short, intense exercise (weight lifting, sprints, etc); It provides energy for a period ranging from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. The anaerobic glycolysis (lactic acid) system is dominant from about 10-30 seconds during a maximal effort. The main source of full for this engine is sugar (carbohydrates) stored within the muscles of your body called glycogen. This will be our focus.

3. Aerobic Oxidative Engine

Most people find themselves training in this system. It is the easiest to learn to train, thus takes little effort past "just go out and run". This system becomes dominate after 2 minutes of continuous exercise (I.E. marathon running). It works by combusting Oxygen and Body fat to make your fuel.

It's more of the "set and forget" system because once you reach this state, you can maintain a constant stream of fuel for multiple hours at a time. The main source of fuel for the aerobic system is pure body-fat. And while that may sound like a good thing, its time to tell you why you want engine 1 & 2 driving away your belly:)

Alright, after the descriptions above, you are probably thinking that if you were to train in the aerobic system for an extended period of time that it would be the best thing for getting rid of all that unsightly fat; however, you are wrong! Follow me for a moment and I'll explain...

1. Your brain thinks: if I burn fat, then I will have less fat on me!
2. Your body thinks: if we are going to be running for hours at a time, I need ample stores of fat to be able to perform! I'll make sure we always have some available!

See the disconnect? In order to be able to do burn off the fat in your body, you must have it available to burn off... It's a catch-22 folks!

Saying all the above to say this: Training your #2 engine will make you leaner, more muscular, & faster. Adapting the body to hold on to sugars (which are stored in muscle) as opposed to holding body-fat (stored in your gut), seems like a winning formula to me. But you decide:

Distance folks--Try this program out & let me know what you think:

Day 1: 30 minutes, 10% incline, 6.0mph - 7.0mph

How to Do the HCG Diet on 800 Calories Instead of 500

The HCG diet is a popular alternative to traditional diets, known for burning fat and helping individuals lose weight quickly. Traditionally, while on the diet, men and women would consume 500 calories each day. However, new research and the new diet protocol suggests that it's healthier and just as effective to do the HCG diet on 800 calories per day instead of 500.

Why the Change?

Recent research has shown that when a person takes in less than 800 calories in a day's time, their body may go into "starvation mode," a survival instinct triggered when there aren't enough calories going into the body. In ancient times, few calories suggested an oncoming famine, and in order to survive through the famine, the body would store as much fat as possible to use until the famine was over. By eating 800 calories per day instead of 500, individuals can keep their bodies from going into starvation mode, therefore preventing the body from storing and holding stubbornly onto fat.

The Benefits of 800 Calories Instead of 500

Research has found that patients using 800 calories a day while on the HCG diet are less likely to feel hungry, weak, or fatigued. When taking these drops, the dieter uses up to 2,000 calories from the fat reserves in the body. With the additional 800, the individual doesn't feel as if they're being deprived, and they have plenty of fuel to run their body with throughout the day. On the 500 calorie diet, many people reported feeling weaker, hungrier, and drained of energy. The new, 800 calorie version allows men and women to feel like themselves while they burn fat and lose weight.

How to Incorporate the Extra 300 Calories

The original HCG diet plan consisted of only coffee for breakfast (with no sugar and 1 teaspoon of milk), and lunch and dinner that included 100 grams of lean meat, a vegetable choice, a breadstick or melba toast, and a fruit choice. To include the additional 300 calories in the diet, individuals will want to stick with the healthier food choices; just eat more. A few different ways to add those calories include:

- Having half a grapefruit, a medium banana, and an average-sized hard boiled egg for breakfast, 1 cup of strawberries between lunch and dinner, and 1 cup of peeled cucumber as an after dinner snack.

- Add 1 cup of cantaloupe, an average-sized hard boiled egg and 1 cup of peeled cucumber to breakfast, a medium apple between lunch and dinner, and 2 cups of cantaloupe as an after dinner snack.

- Add 1 hard-boiled egg and half a cup of cantaloupe to breakfast, 1 cup of plain tuna between lunch and dinner, and have a salad as an after dinner snack that includes: 1 cup of shredded romaine lettuce, 1 ounce of tomato, half a cup of peeled cucumber, and 1 small, shredded carrot.

Each of the points above is 300 calories, not the entire diet plan. These need to be added to the existing 500-calorie HCG diet. By adding the 300 calories, men and women will feel more satisfied and will have more fuel to last through the day as their body burns fat and loses weight.

Is Jenny Craig A Good Weight Loss Programs For Everyone?

ByFolusho Orokunle

Jenny Craig is one of the most popular weight loss programs on the market. The main question you have to ask yourself though is whether or not it is the right program for you. A lot of people rush into trying something or wait too long to try a program that would benefit them tremendously. This is why it is very important for you to do your research first, and realize that in order to lose weight, you are the one that is going to make it happen.

I have spoken to and worked with many physical trainers and health gurus and the answers are different depending on who I speak to. The benefit of programs like Jenny Craig is that they have a system that if you follow, you will see some results. The question is whether or not those results are going to be enough for you to see the changes that you want to see.

What the program can not do is control some of the other habits you might have that can affect your weight even more that what you eat on a daily basis. If you are reading this in America you know that we as a country are a lot less active than we used to be. Our kids are less active, and even our seniors are less active.

Activity is what burns calories and a lot of us spend too much time in front of computers and TV. Although I do not watch a lot of TV myself, I spend hours in front of the computer. It is important for all of us to schedule activity into our lifestyles so we can maintain and lose weight.

If you use a program like Jenny Craig in conjunction with a more active lifestyle, you'll start to see some amazing results. Your lifestyle is the key. Some of the things that I have done myself to get more active is walking, jogging around the block, and doing push ups before I get in the shower.

I am like most people, I have a gym membership, but seldom use it. This is why it's important to be active where ever you are. If you work in an office all day, take a walk at lunch time. If you work from home, make sure you walk and break a sweat whether you leave the house or not.

The Jenny Craig program will then be a great supplement and help you achieve the results you are looking for when you make these overall changes. Remember, it is not just about losing weight, it is about being healthy and being able to spend more time on this earth than you otherwise would if you did not change your lifestyle.

Soup Diet Tips - How To Keep The Pounds Away On The Holidays

ByStefan Gavin Ferradj

Christmas is just around the corner. Pretty soon you will see yourself in the midst of relatives you haven't seen in a long while. Then it's time again to go through your closet, find the perfect outfit and look fit. But what do you do? Do you go to the gym? Pay a visit to the spa? Do you think a diet would do you better? All are great choices and here are some more tips you can use along with it to get the results you are aiming for:

Don't starve yourself too much. When you are hungrier, you tend to want to eat more. You can still lose weight without having to sacrifice what you eat. When you rely on simple aerobics to lose weight quick, your routine can quickly grow old and boring. Perhaps it is time to consider doing your aerobics in waist-high water to lose belly fat. Besides burning calories, spending the time working out in a pool works out your body for lean muscles. Your heart gets exercise, along with your lungs. Working out in H2O can also increase your blood circulation. Your blood pressure will be lowered. Meanwhile, if you suffer from a back injury or arthritis, this form of exercise can be wonderful on your unfortunate condition. After all, water aerobics can be ideal for your entire body.

Practice water aerobics the same way you would outside of the pool. You can walk, jog, run and perform a variety of kicks. You'll burn the same amount of fat, but put a considerable amount of less pressure on any tender parts of your body, such as stressed hips and banged up knees. Your metabolism can also increase, reducing the high number on your scale. The average person can get rid of more than 350 calories every hour that he or she spends doing the exercises.

To begin a water aerobics routine to get skinny, you can simply find a local pool that offers classes. It may be in the public park, as well as in gyms. Start out slow in order to learn all of the proper movements. You certainly don't want to cramp up. It never hurts to get pointers from instructors, as well as fellow class participants on the best techniques. You can even make plenty of new friends in a social setting without any cigarette smoke.

It never hurts to spend a little time on your own practicing the moves. Fortunately, they are not complicated. You may even consider them to be fun. Water aerobics is certainly more entertaining than jogging on a treadmill. You can even meet some new buddies in the fitness classes. It is just a matter of finding an ideal time for you all to schedule your water aerobics together. It's worth it, as every part of your body can become thin and toned with water aerobics. Think about, water provides 12 times more resistance than air. You can get much stronger, as well as thinner by doing your routine in the pool.

Finally, the mental advantages of water aerobics can be huge. The time you spend making slow, steady and low impact movements in a pool can burn more calories than you imagine. Along with eating plenty of produce and lean proteins, the exercise can quickly eliminate belly fat. In fact, it's always a good idea to load up on fresh fruit, as well as low fat yogurt. You should also try to consume plenty of whole grains. Just steer clear of fattening drive-throughs. The salt-heavy selections found at fast food restaurants are your enemy. Pretty soon, you'll lose weight quick, and you'll look fantastic. It's not hard to see just how beneficial water aerobics can be for your state-of-mind, as well as your body.

When I was a kid, I could spend hours flopping around a pool, if not the ocean, to have a fun summer day. However, I grew old and fat. It is embarrassing. It's also dangerous for my cardio system. My doctor said that I need to lose weight quick. I asked him how to lose weight fast, and he make two suggestions. First, I should rely on powerful HCG Injections. Then I could start practicing water aerobics to see quick weight loss. Thanks Doc!

Vegetarian Protein Versus Animal Protein For Successful Weight Loss

It is essential to have high quality vegetarian protein sources in your diet if you want to lose weight.

The Low Carb High Protein Diet has been around for as long as I can remember. The reason why weight loss coaches promote the low carb high protein diet, is because protein is used for building muscle. A high protein diet can ensure that while you are losing weight, you are losing fat and not muscle.

Despite common misconceptions about vegetarian diets, it is possible to use vegetarian protein sources for most of your protein needs. Animal protein is not necessarily the best source of protein compared to vegetarian protein sources.

One important reason why animal protein may be less effective towards successful weight loss over a long period of time, is because animal protein is devoid of enzymes and therefore needs to draw from your body's own stores in order for it to be digested.

Long term high animal protein diets can lead to enzyme deficiencies. Enzymes are essential for proper processing utilizing and eliminating food. Without sufficient enzymes the food is not broken down efficiently and gets stored as fat. Enzymes are essential to weight loss

Protein is essential for healthy weight loss for various reasons.

Protein is helpful to reduce appetite. This is why high Protein Diets are often most successful. Protein also has no sugar and does not metabolize into sugar as carbohydrates do.

Protein has a stimulating effect on the metabolism as it takes three times the amount of energy to metabolize protein as it does to metabolize fats and carbohydrates.

Most people therefore find protein to be more satisfying. Eating protein at every meal can reduce cravings for extra snacks.

Protein also helps you to lose weight because it takes 3 times the amount of energy to metabolize protein as it does to metabolize fats and carbohydrates, this has a very stimulating effect on the metabolism.

Eating protein at mealtimes reduces cravings for extra snacks as it helps people to feel more satiated.

As most diet programs include exercise as part of the plan, protein can be very important to assist in repairing muscle, and maintaining lean muscle mass. Protein protects against muscle being broken down from lots of exercise, and fewer calories.

It is essential though to get quality protein from the right sources in your diet. Vegetarian protein is superior to animal proteins, as they can be problematic in many ways.

The byproducts of animal protein metabolism are considered toxic to the human body, as levels of uric acid and urea rise in the blood. The body than desperately tries to eliminate this uric acid and urea, by pumping lots of water into the kidneys and urinary tract to help it flush out. In order to neutralize these destructive acids in the blood, calcium and essential minerals are pulled from the bones and then used to assist in flushing these excess acids out of the blood. A diet high in animal protein often leads to severe Loss of essential minerals and calcium resulting in osteoporosis.

Raising livestock is an energy drain on the planet. We are also depleting ocean life by overfishing our oceans. If you think having fish from fish farms is the solution you are very wrong, those fish are highly toxic, grown in dirty waters and fed food that is unnatural for fish to eat.

In order to get the amount of eggs needed to sustain the industry the chickens are tortured into little cages their whole life and forced to produce eggs constantly. Eggs from not organic farms are coming from tortured, underfed chickens. And organic eggs are often very expensive.

It is not that difficult to get high quality vegetarian protein today. Vegetarian protein powders derived from rice or hemp are excellent sources of vegetarian protein for weight loss.

These vegetarian protein sources are still in a raw state with live enzymes which are so essential for digestion and weight loss.

Concentrated vegetarian proteins are a great way to help you lose weight as they are nourishing, satisfying, and full of vitamins, minerals and live enzymes.

How To Lose Weight and Keep It Off: The Truth About Weight Loss

Losing weight is one problem, but keeping yourself from regaining the weight you lost, is yet another, but related problem. And they are actually completely related!

When you go on a diet to lose weight, your body is responds automatically, just as nature intended, by slowing down your metabolism. You body goes into stress when you withhold calories and increase your level of exercise. When you try to lose weight quickly, it actually compounds the problem. That's what creates the "yo-yo syndrome", where people lose weight, then gain it back, plus a couple more pounds than when they first started out!

And unfortunately, most doctors are creating this problem in their patients when they tell them: "There is ONLY 1 way to lose weight: Eat Less and Exercise More". Doctors have very limited training in nutrition in medical school, and their advice can sabotage your ability to lose weight and keep it off!

Losing weight MUST be done slowly, in order to "trick" your body's natural automatic protective response to prevent you from starving in times when there is less food availability. If you learned to work WITH your body's natural response, you'd be eating MORE and more often! But, you must also change the type of foods that you eat, especially if you are eating a lot of sugar or refined carbohydrates (grains).

It's best to start slowly, by adding good food first. And contrary to what the food industry would have you believe, fats are GOOD for you. Those fats are omega 3's: olive oil, fish oil, coconut oil, flax oil. Those are not the types of cheap oils and fats that are in most processed foods! The food industry has gotten on the "low fat" bandwagon, because good fats are expensive. They have replaced those expensive ingredients with cheap and dangerous sugars: high fructose corn syrup, which they are now trying to disguise because consumers are becoming increasingly aware of it's danger. Now the manufacturers just call it "corn syrup".

In fact, the most up to date research that studied by researchers without a conflict of interest, have found that sugar is the worst culprit if you are trying to lose weight. And those sugars even includes "fructose" which is natural sugar found in fruits.

But alas, worst of all is the impact of stress on dieting. Chronic stress has many affects on your body, and has been implicated in the depositing of fat right in the middle of your body: belly fat!

Whereas there have been many studies about the effects of food on gaining weight, there has been precious little research on the effects of stress causing people to overeat! Lack of sleep, caused by stress, sets off release of hormones that make you hungrier, and turn off the hormones that turn OFF your hunger! And the lack of sleep also creates physiological changes in your blood sugar levels and can create insulin resistance, which can lead to obesity and eventually diabetes type II.

There's hardly a person nowadays who hasn't been affected by stress in some facet of their lives. Indeed it has become a chronic condition for many:
finding money to pay the bills, the slow economydealing with a difficult boss, or job problemsrelationship difficultiesviolence in the news and mediahealth issuesName YOUR Stress

And stress, whether real or imagined, has the same effect. Furthermore, some kinds of stress that you may not even be aware of are buried in your subconscious mind, and also make you gain or maintain the weight you have. The weight won't come off until you unblock the subconscious beliefs that make your body think you need the weight to be safe. Your body is keeping you heavy to protect you.

So what can you do to lose weight?

Realizing that your body is doing what nature intended, and doing it well, instead of hating your body, and feeling betrayed, visualize and think positive feelings, and thank your body for successfully doing what nature intended. Change your mindset. It's time to make peace with your body.

Focus on heartfelt "gratitude, not fatitude!"

And, if you want to lose weight, do it slowly, by eating more, and more often. Start by adding good food choices first. After finishing that food, check in with your body to see if you're still hungry. If you are, give yourself a portion on a small dish. It fools your brain into thinking that you have eaten more than you actually did!

But most of all, give yourself a break, and look for opportunities to relieve stress. Emotional eating will never fill your stomach, and it will only make you feel worse.

Best Selling Author, Speaker, and Coach-sultant Lianda Ludwig, M.S., says: "Don't even bother to diet unless you learn the hidden reason why 95% of dieters fail". It's information that's been withheld from you from the diet industry that wants you to fail, so you'll have to constantly be on a diet! You can get the real truth about dieting and how to become one of those successful 5% who lose weight and keep it off in her FREE report at http://www.MakeItSoMindset.com

The Fastest Way To Lose Weight In 2 Weeks

Many people struggle with losing weight. Their struggle is mainly accredited to being misinformed. The Internet is saturated with "lose weight fast" strategies that lack all credibility. Below, I am going to reveal to you , and also teach you how to keep the weight off for good!

So, how do I lose weight fast? The process is actually quite simple! I've outlined the key

components of weight loss below. These principles will be further investigated in future posts. For now, just understand which areas require focus in order to lose weight.

Lose Weight In 2 Weeks With A Simple Diet

A well-planned weight loss diet is the most important aspect of all. Many people associate negative connotations with the word diet. Adjusting to a new diet isn't always easy, but a weight loss diet doesn't have to feel like punishment! An ideal diet is both effective and sustainable. No one will stay committed to a diet they hate.

Drop the Pounds With A Fat Destroying Workout

Combine an effective diet with a killer fat burning workout, and you will see the pounds drop instantly! The best weight loss workout takes your current fitness level into consideration. Nothing is more disheartening than being laid up due to an injury. Your workout must be calibrated to your current fitness level. There will be plenty of time to increase the intensity and complexity of your workout over time. The best fat loss workout is convenient as well. If it is a huge hassle for you to perform your workout, then you'll find more reasons to not follow through. A bodyweight workout that you can perform at home can be designed to turn you into a fat-burning machine.

SMART Goals

I'm a huge fan of the SMART mnemonic.

Specific

Measurable

Attainable

Relevant

Time-bound

Setting goals is absolutely essential. When you have a clear cut idea of what you want to achieve you are 100 times more likely to succeed. It is important to set realistic and attainable goals. That is where our mnemonic comes into play.

Be specific with what you want to achieve. Ask yourself the following:

What do I want to accomplish? Why do I want to accomplish this goal? What are the benefits? The purpose?

If a goal is not measurable, it is not possible. Ask yourself:

How much? How will I know when I have accomplished my goal?

A goal needs to be attainable. If your goal is unrealistic and cannot be attained, you'll lose motivation. Ask yourself:

How can my goal be accomplished?

Make your goal relevant. You must be willing to work towards accomplishing your goal. If you have read this far, then I know you have the willpower to follow through!

Structure your goals in a specific time frame. Since you are reading this, I can safely assume your time frame is 2 weeks. If you fail to accomplish your goal in that time don't be disheartened. You will make tremendous progress on your journey towards your ultimate goal.

Track Your Progress

Keeping a weight loss journal is highly underrated. I cannot emphasize enough how important this is. Don't worry about being extremely meticulous and recording every calorie you eat. That isn't important. Rather, document what you eat and when. This strategy also holds you accountable and will alleviate the temptation to cheat (who wants to write down they ate a bunch of cookies?!).

Take front, side, and back photos of yourself before you start your weight loss journey. Record your starting body fat and take a waist measurement as well. Don't worry about your scale weight. In fact, I encourage you to throw out your scale! So many people rely on their scale weight to track their fitness progress, but this is a deceiving method.

Take Care of the "Little Things"

There are a few simple lifestyle changes you can make that will massively increase how easily you lose weight.

Drink A LOT of Water

Proper hydration is often overlooked. When you are hydrated your body functions at its highest capacity. Up to 60% of the human body is composed of water! Keeping your body adequately hydrated is extremely important for your overall health and your fat burning goals.

Get Adequate Rest

I love sleep! Everyone should be getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night. 8 hours!? I know, it sounds like a lot -- especially to those of you averaging half of that. Getting proper sleep is crucial for weight loss.

Minimize Stress In Your Life

Throughout our day we have low and high levels of cortisol (a hormone that normalizes blood glucose levels). We start seeing problems when cortisol is too high too often.

Cortisol is released when our body is under stress. We all experience stress to some degree in our day to day lives. In order to maximize fat loss you need to make a conscious effort of reducing the stress you place on your body. One of the best strategies to eliminate stress is by getting adequate sleep! I already touched on that above, but I should also add that sleeping in a pitch black room dramatically improves your sleep. It isn't always practical to black out your room, but you can find nice looking black out curtains that will do the trick.

I believe that managing stress and improving the quality of your sleep are two of the most important components to fast weight loss. I will cover these topics in greater depth in future posts as well.

Have Fun!!

If you really want to stay committed to your goal of losing weight, enjoy the process. Be happy that you are making an effort to improve your health and fitness. The fact that you have read this much is exciting! Developing a fun and active hobby can go a long way too! Make an effort to make this process fun and it will be more rewarding.
